Automated Extraction
In addition to automated protocols for bacteria, viruses, and human, animal, and plant tissues, customers can easily process complex forensic samples and highly processed foods. The system also offers enrichment routines for cell-free nucleic acids and enables users to perform bisulfite conversion for epigenetic analyses. High-quality magnetic and paramagnetic particles serve as the solid phase for binding nucleic acids. The buffer conditions are optimized to ensure both a fine particle dispersion in the solution and rapid, quantitative sedimentation during collection, while the multifunctional heating/magnet unit (IHMU—Intelligent Heating/Magnet Unit) is positioned beneath the bottom of the reagent cartridges. The liquid can then be reliably aspirated without carrying away any magnetic particles. The heating function supports the automated process during lysis, drying, and elution. Solvent residues that could potentially interfere with subsequent applications are effectively removed, and the nucleic acids are efficiently desorbed into the elution buffer.

The overall application is rounded out by the use of the patented
DC-Technology® (Dual-Chemistry). The use of variable buffer systems, combined with a reduction in the required concentrations and/or ionic strengths, creates ideal conditions for proteolytic lysis and minimizes the potential risk of salts being transferred into the eluted sample. This results in optimized workflow times and the recovery of high-quality nucleic acids.

Intelligent Architecture
When used with the InnuPure® C16 touch, ready-to-use extraction kits significantly simplify routine laboratory work while conserving resources. For example, the time-consuming task of filling reservoirs is now a thing of the past. Prefilled cartridges also eliminate the risk of filling the wrong tubes or spilling reagents. Above all, however, not having to prepare so many kit components saves valuable time. All kits are available in two packaging options: one with reagent strips for individual extractions with a small number of samples, and the other with reagent plates for up to 16 extractions with moderate sample volumes. As a result, the preparation work for the InnuPure® C16 touch is limited to simply loading the sample carrier.

Core Competencies in Liquid Handling
The use of a high-precision pipetting system ensures that workflows with the InnuPure® C16 touch are accurate and reproducible. In addition, the high-quality pipette tips used guarantee optimal results while minimizing the amount of liquid remaining in the tips. The integrated dispensing unit allows the user to set the elution volume to a value between 20 and 500 μl; the transfer then takes place automatically. The pipette tips and elution tubes are all included as components of the extraction kit.
